A handsome matched pair of vintage wooden booth benches. Originally part of a dinette set, these benches have the graceful scrolled end panels and substantial proportions of early 20th century American craftsmanship. The decorative cutout silhouette on the ends gives the benches a coastal, slightly graphic quality that reads equally well in a breakfast nook, mudroom, sunroom, or on a covered porch.
At just over 53" wide each, they seat three adults comfortably and are a practical alternative to chairs anywhere you want a bench-style dining setup. See last photo for an example of how to use in a corner dining area.

Note: The benches are structurally sound but an easily remedied design flaw causes them to tip slightly forward if you sit on the edge of the seat. This is easily corrected by a woodworker — adding an extension to the front foot or attaching a floor brace would stabilize them permanently. In the meantime, they're perfectly stable when you sit centered (from front to back) on the seat. less
