A richly colored vintage hand-knotted tribal rug attributed to the Shiraz/Qashqai weaving tradition of southwestern Persia. The composition features a large stepped diamond medallion in saturated crimson red, surrounded by deep navy-blue corner fields and multiple narrow geometric borders.
The field is densely decorated with stylized trees, flowering branches, geometric devices and small symbolic motifs in ivory, burnt orange, dark green and burgundy. Four bold tribal emblems punctuate the navy sections, while a smaller diamond medallion anchors the center.
The irregular hand-drawn details, subtle asymmetry and natural-looking color variation give the rug considerable character. Its generous approximately 8-by-10-foot proportions make it well suited for a living room, library, bedroom or study.
The central diamond, red-and-navy palette and densely arranged plants and tribal symbols are strongly associated with rugs woven by Qashqai groups around the Shiraz region, although the exact weaving tribe and date have not been independently authenticated.

Subtle abrash, minor surface wear, slight edge waviness and scattered irregularities inherent to handmade tribal weaving are present. The fringe shows age-related wear and unevenness.
