Pair of vintage candle sconces hand-crafted from authentic curved terracotta roof tiles and featuring a detailed pair of hand-painted regional Breton folk figures surrounded by vibrant botanical accents. Mounted with rustic metal candle cups, each piece is finished with a wrapped cord and tassel accent. Designed with a subtle architectural taper, the curved tiles are wider at the top (6.5" wide) and narrow slightly toward the bottom (5.75" wide), giving them a graceful, balanced silhouette on the wall.
One sconce depicts a Breton woman wearing a traditional coiffe headpiece, a colorful apron, and regional wooden clogs (sabots). The companion sconce depicts a Breton man wearing classic wide-legged breeches (bragou-bras), a wide-brimmed black hat, and clogs. Equipped with top mounting holes for straightforward wall display.
The reverse is stamped REDLAND, which is a prominent European roof tile manufacturer (originally established in the UK and widely used across France and Western Europe).
