Each piece is an original work by artist Garrett Knoll, printed and framed by hand in Brooklyn, New York. The image is printed on site and the frame is custom-built by hand. The result is an archival pigment print (giclée) on lustre photographic paper, set in a 0.75 inch thick walnut frame with an elevated float mount. Every piece ships with a signed Certificate of Authenticity, professionally packaged to arrive in perfect condition.
Unité d'Habitation, Typ Berlin — known locally as the Corbusierhaus — was designed by Le Corbusier and stands in Charlottenburg, Berlin, Germany. Completed in 1958 for the Interbau exhibition, its board-marked concrete facade and modular apartments adapted his "vertical city" concept, first realized in Marseille, to a German context and clientele that altered several of his original specifications.
