Funky chicken! 1960’s brutalist wall sculpture by Japanese-Brazilian artist, Shih Hwa. The sculpture is an assemblage of metal parts and pieces ranging from watch components to spark plugs and screws all to create a visually interesting chicken. The artist added a few colorful pave crystals for a touch of whimsy and mounted the creation on an aqua green painted wood base. Shih Hwa’s signature is etched on a plaque at the base of the chicken and a label appears on the back. There is a metal bracket for easy hanging. It would be right at home in a mid 20th century modern decor or a wonderful addition to a folk art collection.
Good condition. The piece has a rustic feel by design.
Measures 6” wide x 13” tall x 1.25” deep.
