The long rectangular planter … Read more A vintage Danish rosewood planter designed by Kai Kristiansen for Aksel Kjersgaard, dating to the 1960s.
The long rectangular planter box is set within an open rosewood frame, with slender solid rosewood legs and a low stretcher base giving the piece a clean, architectural shape. The wood has warm brown tones with darker grain moving across the sides and frame. A removable metal liner sits inside the wooden surround. The open base keeps the planter visually light and gives it an easy presence along a wall, behind a sofa, or as a low divider between spaces. The removable metal liner can hold a row of individual potted plants or soil directly.
