Our Chinese rug here is a great example of this popular design tradition. A rich dark blue open field featuring two vases with flowering branches in two opposite corners of the field. The two vases are not symmetric. As asymmetry in design is one of the main characteristics of Art Deco Chinese rugs. The blue field is nicely framed by a single purple red ground fretwork border. The accent colours include various shades of green,yellow,gold and pinks. The velvety wool pile is of high quality and the rug has been cleaned professionally. Free of any stains or odors.
