A vintage Art Nouveau sculpture lamp, dating back to around 1900, originally conceived as a pillar lamp. It depicts a nymph or allegorical female figure wrapped in sinuous floral tendrils that extend upward to support the light fixtures, topped with frosted glass lampshades in the shape of a rose.
The sculpture is signed by Julien Caussé (1869-1909), a renowned French sculptor specializing in allegorical and floral female subjects typical of the Belle Époque.
Crafted in régule with a bronze patina finish, the sculpture rests on a circular base in molded wood or faux marble.
The floral structure at the back features period electrical connections. The original or contemporary lampshades are made of opaline or frosted glass and simulate rosebuds. This piece has an attribution mark,
