Measuring an impressive 227 cm in length, the piece combines the refined elegance of the Louis style with an eclectic richness of detail.
The furniture has been cleaned of dust and grime while preserving its natural patina and has been treated with an eco-friendly hard oil finish. This coating protects the wood while leaving it velvety to the touch, thereby highlighting the natural grain.

100% Solid Walnut and Oak Construction: Unlike most commonly found veneered pieces, this sideboard is crafted from fine solid walnut featuring a deep, striking grain. The quality of craftsmanship is also evident in the interior; the original, thick solid walnut shelves behind the glass doors feature beautiful, undulating, profiled fronts that perfectly match the curved lines of the façade.
This is an exceptionally exclusive stone, characterized by a deep red color shifting toward brown and dense, white crystalline veining; historically, it adorned the interiors of the Palace of Versailles.
The marble has fine surface scratches across its entire area and a single indentation measuring approximately 7 by 8 mm, with an irregular depth of 2 mm.


Unique Construction on 8 Carved Legs: The piece rests on eight solid legs. Exceptionally rare is the fact that the full, elaborate decorative carving—featuring magnificent floral rosettes, volutes, and classic fluting—extends to every single leg, including the rear ones. Note that the flat, disc-shaped bases on the two rear-center legs are not original; likely damaged or detached at some point, they were replaced with elements of equal age, as visible in the photos. The back of the piece is flat, allowing it to sit flush against a wall.

Masterful Carving Beneath the Top: Directly beneath the marble surface runs a substantial, richly carved frieze featuring an acanthus leaf motif, entirely hand-chiseled from solid walnut.

Original Glazing ("Antique Glass"): The central display sections feature original panes of glass—over a century old—each individually hand-fitted into the wooden lattice framework. The glass exhibits unique period characteristics—such as air bubbles, subtle undulations, and the texture of cast sheet glass—serving as undeniable proof of authenticity.
