Offered for sale is a beautiful large Italian religious oil painting depicting The Immaculate Conception, after the famous composition by Spanish master Bartolomé Esteban Murillo. The painting features the Virgin Mary standing upon the crescent moon surrounded by cherubs in a richly carved gilt wood frame.

The reverse of the canvas is inscribed:

* “La Immacolata del Murillo”
* “Copia V. Fiorchini”
* “Firenze” (Florence)
and bears a “Made in Italy” label, identifying it as an Italian hand-painted copy created in Florence.

The ornate carved and gilded frame is a standout piece on its own, with deep Baroque-style scrollwork that beautifully complements the artwork.
