This gray industrial wall / ceiling lamp by Maehler & Kaege (MK / model e 1786 / DL 100), also known as "turtle lamp", dates from the 1950s.
Very robust design ("heavy duty") - the glass is additionally protected by a steel grid!
With a sealing ring under the glass, so the lamp is also suitable for outdoor use.
This type of lamp was mainly used in areas where heavy machinery was operated.
The lamp has been cleaned and rewired (cable length 140 cm).
