This Radiaver light was originally a radiator with a light in the base. It was the first electrical radiator invented by the French engineer René Coulon for the Saint Gobain glass manufacturer and showed at the Industrial Exhibition in Paris in 1937. The system of heating running through the metal stripes in the top part was a revolutionary invention. These lights were produced until 1952 and this particularly beautiful model is exhibited in museums such as the Centre Pompidou and the Smithsonian Institute. The lamp is made from two tempered glass plates with a thick molded glass base where the light has been replaced, fitted with a new standard bulb holder and wire.
