The four-drawer case features two short drawers above two full-width drawers, framed by a subtly shaped top, turned baluster legs, graceful scroll-bracket supports, and original casters that add both charm and functionality.

The beautifully piece was likley made c. 1920, and its time distressed faded rose pink-painted surface reveals an earlier cream ground with traces of gilt highlights, creating the rich patina collectors and designers seek but that is nearly impossible to replicate convincingly. A cast floral-and-foliate escutcheon adorns the upper long drawer, while turned wooden knobs reinforce the chest's understated provincial character.

At just 46 inches wide, this versatile chest is equally suited as a bedroom dresser, entry chest, or statement accent in a living room, cottage, or dressing area. Its softly weathered finish pairs beautifully with French Country, Gustavian, Swedish, English Cottage, and Shabby Chic interiors.
