The black paint has scrapes mostly around the legs and feet while the rush seat shows the wear of a 65 year old piece of used furniture. Believe it is made of Maple because it was purchased from same manufacturer of a Deacon spindle bench. I was about 7 years old and remember the day my parents bought it in the early 60's and lived thru an active family's life. See less
