The piece caught my eye and I immediately wanted it for my home. See paperwork from purchase. Also have custom matched paint for touch ups!! Red and gold hand painted Chinoiserie Secretary Desk Bookcase, two parts. Desk features a lower chest with three storage drawers (drawers are generously sized and deep), pull down door for writing in mid-section, and a top with two doors. Mid-section (desk) opens with two support pieces, one on each side, to support. Top piece features several cubbies and shelves for storage. I have videos for more detail I am happy to send.
Piece features solid wood with hand-painted scenes with Chinese buildings and Asian landscapes, trees and birds , floral and fauna motifs. Inner doors and desk top feature motif as well. The secretary desk was a popular piece of furniture in Europe, known for its functionality as both a writing desk and a storage unit for documents, books, and stationary. There is plenty of storage in this piece. Dimensions are listed in the photo of the tag from the original paperwork. See less
