There are simple fixes that will extend that for you, including a special glue that can be applied to the fraying areas, and using a cushion instead of sitting directly on the caning. There is a lot of life left in this beautiful old chair, and with some minor repair a lifetime! The condition is reflected in the price. Of course, you can always make me an offer. less
