Across two distinct panels, the work captures figures at the St. Catharines shoreline during sunset who are physically present, yet cognitively detached, lost in the glow of their screens.The work utilizes heavy body acrylics and a signature palette knife impasto technique to render the vibrant, fleeting light of the coast. By juxtaposing the timeless, impressionistic beauty of the beach with the pervasive, static posture of digital engagement, this diptych invites the viewer to reflect on the nature of connection, memory, and what it means to be truly "present" in the age of constant communication.
