No one truly knows what Jesus looked like. Many of the images we inherit are shaped by culture and time. This understanding opened space for me to imagine Him through my own lens, using my recurring character, Bmoe.

The green and white clothing references both Nigeria and my boarding school uniform, carrying layers of cultural memory and personal experience. These elements connect the work to lived moments, grounding it in both place and feeling.

This painting is not intended as mockery or defiance, but as a personal translation created with respect, imagination, and reflection. It considers how spiritual figures can be understood across different perspectives and experiences.
