This piece explores the concept of individuality. There's a difference between being lonely and being alone.
Being lonely in this context is often a result of lacking self-dependence—individuality. Being alone means having self-dependence; having self-worth, a relationship with oneself—enjoying one's company and essence.
Life is all about balance. It is the ability to have both our individuality and our dependence on others enrich our lives simultaneously. Two adults can form a healthy relationship only when both maintain their individuality. Otherwise, such an association is formed out of a need for the other rather than love. I am responsible for my happiness. You are responsible for yours. We bring this happiness together and multiply it as we relate with each other.
