Each painting in the series shows a human figure wrapped up in a fabric, leaving out the face; the flowing fabric acts as a shield, offering the subject a haven where they can pause, reflect, and find peace. The series highlights the importance of having a space of refuge, a sanctuary where one can heal, grow, and prepare for life’s next steps. Both the colors that can brighten up a space and the emotions portrayed are an invitation to connect with the idea of finding comfort and strength within moments of solitude
