Sculptural Danish Modern table lamp executed in brass with a distinctive tiered red lacquered metal shade, Denmark, circa 1950s.
The lamp features an elegantly curved brass stem rising from a circular weighted base with decorative ball feet and inset dark glass detail. The highly unusual shade is formed as a layered bell shape with scalloped edges, creating a playful and almost surreal silhouette strongly reminiscent of mid-century Scandinavian fantasy design.
The vivid red lacquer contrasts beautifully against the warm aged brass, giving the piece a striking visual presence whether illuminated or not.
An expressive and highly decorative Scandinavian Modern table lamp combining organic curves, whimsical detailing, and refined craftsmanship characteristic of Danish lighting from the postwar period.
Perfect as an accent lamp, bedside lamp, or collectible decorative object.
