An exceptional Georgian style custom mahogany demilune server or sideboard by Joseph Gerte of Boston MA. Showcases a center lined frieze drawer with sliding sections(also removeable) that can accommodate two layers of flatware, flanked by conforming curved doors on each side, which open to reveal additional storage, each adorned with round brass pulls. The piece is decorated with ribboned inlay across the front, accented with geometric shapes, all supported by reeded carved/fluted legs with front carved rosette highlights.
A "demilune" (half-moon) design featuring a curved front face and a flat back, perfect for hallway entries or dining rooms.
Built primarily with finely figured flame mahogany, accented by premium wood crossbanding and marquetry inlays.
