The table converts from circular to oval form with two integrated leaves, accommodating a full range of dining configurations without structural compromise.

The apron is scalloped along its full perimeter — a continuous wave profile cut from solid oak that runs uninterrupted around the circular base form and through the extended oval. This is cabinetmaker's detailing of considered precision: the scallop does not simplify at the joints. Brass dome-head pegs punctuate the apron at each leg junction, a hardware choice that reads simultaneously as structural fastening and deliberate decorative accent.

The bobbin-turned legs — faceted and stacked in alternating convex and concave sections — carry significant visual weight from floor to tabletop, anchoring the composition and reinforcing the piece's inherent provinciality.
