the decoration to the body is in white reliefs of ancient greek or roman figural art set against a smooth, matte blue ground.

a good quality hinks patented duplex burner is mounted to the font and the ensemble is completed with an etched blue glass shade of a later date.

condition is good throughout with no signs of repair or restoration. A tiny nibble is noted on the edge of the font in one location. The top of the font is of a slightly paler colour to the base and it is not known if this was intentional or a mis-match in firing process.
