Conceived with Sergio Mazza's unmistakable architectural approach, the Sigma reduces lighting to its essential forms while achieving remarkable visual richness through the interaction of glass, light, and proportion. More than sixty years after its introduction, it remains one of Artemide's most timeless creations. Each fixture is centered around an extraordinary molded pressed-glass diffuser, distinguished by an intricate radial texture that transforms the emitted light into a soft, atmospheric glow. Once illuminated, the glass reveals a luminous sunburst pattern that subtly changes with the observer's position, giving each fixture an almost kinetic visual quality. The diffusers are elegantly framed by nickel-plated brass rings, whose restrained finish enhances the purity of the circular composition.
