Large sculptural table lamp in brass and acrylic glass with embedded Vienna cane, Italy, 1970s
Important table lamp with exceptional visual impact, made in Italy in the 1970s.
The structure consists of an elegant, polished brass truncated cone base supporting a monumental hemispherical shade (Ø 55 cm) in transparent glass, within which is embedded a refined natural Vienna cane weave. The lighting effect is surprising: the light passes through the vegetal weave, creating a warm and sophisticated illumination, transforming the lamp into a true luminous sculpture.
The quality of construction and originality of the workmanship place this piece among the finest Italian production of the 1970s, adopting a design language close to the experiments, despite the lack of a marking that allows for definitive attribution. Its exceptionally generous dimensions make it ideal as a centerpiece on a large console table, a coffee table, or an elegant entryway piece.
