The upper section … Read more This two-part French oak cabinet is constructed in solid oak with a pine secondary interior and back. The upper section is fitted with three doors, each face decorated with a bold concentric circular molding converging to a raised central boss, and each fitted with a brass ring pull. The interior of the upper section is organized into three compartments: the left reveals a stack of three small drawers, one lockable with the original key present; the center opens to an open shelf; and the right to a shelved compartment. The lower section is fitted with a pair of doors, each with two raised rectangular panels, meeting at the center with paired brass ring pulls. The lower interior is fitted with a single shelf above a planked pine back. A stepped molded cornice surmounts the upper case, and a stepped waist rail separates the two sections. The piece rests on a stepped molded base raised on bun feet at each corner. The top surface shows ring marks and wear consistent with age. See less
