Executed in richly textured glazed stoneware, the figure combines stylized proportions with an expressive almost folkloric presence. The deep cobalt-blue robe is contrasted by earthy brown facial tones, cream-colored textured details and dark framing elements that create a dramatic sculptural silhouette from every angle.

The piece carries many of the qualities associated with Scandinavian studio ceramics of the mid-20th century — tactile surfaces, expressive glazing and a balance between decorative art and sculpture.
