The heavyweight ceremonial silk is dyed in vermilion. Modern starburst and explosion geometries radiate across the field in pale gold and silver thread, an architectural composition that places contemporary Japanese textile design in conversation with mid-century modernism. The vermilion gives the composition its warmth. The starburst gives it its rise.
