A rare and impressive ‘grappolo’ ls10 chandelier, designed by luigi caccia dominioni and manufactured by azucena in 1965. This exceptional model, in the large version, features three monumental blown-glass globes, each with a diameter of 40 cm, suspended from a robust three-armed ceiling fixture in dark grey metallic lacquered metal. The globes are held on long chains, arranged at staggered heights, creating a sculptural rhythm that can be adjusted according to preference. Originally conceived for the golf club house in monticello, the chandelier was later taken into production by azucena, the milanese manufacturer founded in 1947 by caccia dominioni together with ignazio gardella and corrado corradi dell’acqua. Azucena became known for its refined and timeless designs, seamlessly balancing architectural rigor with a discreet sense of luxury. The grappolo ls10 exemplifies this approach: industrial in its construction, yet undeniably elegant in its presence. The chandelier is preserved in good original condition. The lacquered metal structure shows only minimal signs of age and light wear, consistent with decades of use, while the three large hand-blown glass globes remain perfectly intact. When lit, the chandelier produces a soft, spherical glow, accentuating its balance of scale and transparency. With its commanding size and rare proportions, this grappolo ls10 chandelier embodies the sophistication of italian postwar design. At once functional and monumental, it represents the vision of luigi caccia dominioni, whose work continues to define the intersection of architecture, lighting, and refined modern living. This lamp is checked in our own atelier, cleaned and is also suitable for use in the usa as is. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
