The round basin was chiseled by hand from a solid block of limestone, shaped with curved sides and a short footed base. A pattern of furrowed grooves decorates the exterior, a tactile, zig-zag pattern often seen on millstones and grinding tools. A single drainage hole has been drilled into the base, making the stone pond ideal today as a statement garden planter or sink basin. See less
