An archetypal piece of Italian … Read more Stunning, one-of-a-kind Italian space age chrome caged 3-seater velvet sofa attributed to Adriano Piazzesi, 1960s. An archetypal piece of Italian space age and Piazzesi’s design mastermind, the amalgamation of the warmth of rounded, curvy shapes and the “coldness” of chrome. The shapes provide comfort and cosiness, while the chrome cage or frame adds a pinch of futurist industrialism. The soft cushions are covered with a beautiful purple and off-white pinstripe velvet, which runs through the body perfectly highlighting the majestic forms of the couch. Technically a modular sofa with the seats being attached to one another at the bottom with a screw rod. Extremely rare and unique piece, perfect for modern and traditional home interiors.
