A wrought iron double wall sconce in arts & crafts style, most likely mid-20th century, with hand-forged decorative elements, fleur-de-lys motifs and candle-style light fittings.
the piece carries a quiet, historic presence, where the interplay of aged metal and softened candle forms evokes the atmosphere of old interiors and stone-walled spaces.
hand-forged in iron, the sconce presents a symmetrical composition with two candle-style arms extending from a central vertical backplate. The design incorporates stylized fleur-de-lys elements and subtle scrollwork, characteristic of arts & crafts interpretations of medieval forms. The surface shows a layered patina with visible hammer marks and textural irregularities, emphasizing its handcrafted nature. The drip trays are shaped with softly undulating edges, supporting candle-style sleeves with remnants of real wax, enhancing its authentic, time-worn character. The overall composition reflects gothic influences through its verticality, pointed details, and ornamental curls.
