The chairs feature tall ladder backs, distinctive rounded knop finials and traditional handwoven rush seats.

The frames are made from solid wood, most likely oak or beech, with a warm naturally aged patina. Their simple construction, elongated uprights and visible joinery give the chairs a strong architectural and handcrafted character.

The design reflects the French postwar interest in regional furniture, vernacular craftsmanship and natural materials. They share appreciation for solid wood, functional construction and rustic modernism.
