The … Read more A charming 20th century silver ashtray, combining natural onyx with a sporting theme closely associated with british racing heritage. The ashtray is formed from a substantial slice of polished onyx, its softly translucent surface retaining a naturally textured outer edge that contrasts beautifully with the smooth, hand finished bowl.

mounted to the rear is a finely cast silver horse's head, detailed with bridle and harness, set against a curved silver plaque engraved "1958 the derby". The horse's head is rendered with a strong sense of movement and character, serving as a commemorative tribute to one of britain's most celebrated horse racing events.
