Designed by Einar Johansen for Søholm Stentøj during the 1960s, this impressive pair represents the largest version of the celebrated 1080 series.
The lamps feature broad cylindrical stoneware bodies finished in a richly variegated crystalline blue glaze, complemented by tall conical necks and finely ribbed detailing. Their sculptural proportions make them equally striking when illuminated or displayed as decorative objects.
Each lamp retains its original Søholm markings underneath and has been professionally rewired. New premium linen shades complete the presentation.
Produced on the Danish island of Bornholm, Søholm became internationally recognised for combining refined Scandinavian forms with exceptional stoneware glazes, and Einar Johansen's designs remain among the company's most desirable creations.
The plugs can be replaced by US-plugs for free. This piece has an attribution mark,
