German designer Ingo Maurer (1932–2019) specialized in lamps and lighting installations. After living and working in the United States for several years, he founded his own company, "Design M," in 1966. Maurer was fascinated by the unclad light bulb and its inventor, Thomas Edison. This fascination runs like a thread through his work and influenced many of his designs. At the same time, Maurer was strongly inspired by Pop Art. This resulted in designs with a deliberately playful character—such as the "Bulb Bulb" lamp from 1980. It is versatile and, with its length of 60 cm and diameter of 35 cm, suitable as both a table and floor lamp. An eyelet at the end of the screw thread allows the lamp to also be suspended from the ceiling. It is in good condition, with signs of wear such as light scratches and paint wear. The "Bulb Bulb" is equipped with an E27 screw thread—compatible with all currently available light bulbs. This piece has an attribution mark,
