This contemplative sculptural lamp is built around a 1950s Chinese steelyard scale beam, a traditional weighing instrument used in markets across China. The original balance beam, dating to circa 1950s, has been reimagined as the core of a table lamp — a quiet meditation on time, balance, and the weight of history.
The piece balances the tangible and the intangible — a philosophical object that invites contemplation on how we measure the fleeting moments of existence. The lightning-struck wood is preserved as found, with its natural scars visible and honored.
One-of-a-kind original. Certificate of Authenticity included.
