This is pair of Louis XVI style gilt-bronze mounted green marble urns, or cassolettes likely dating from the 19th or early 20th century. The marble is highly figured with interesting variation in colors and movement. They are set on matching marble bases. The lids do not lift off.
They feature ornate gilt-bronze decorations, including satyrs or mask handles, arched floral garlands and pine cone finials.
They are in very good condition.
