Fabulous vintage Babar and Celeste by Jean de Brunhoff lithograph. Writing in French. “Laissant le ballon abîmé sur la plage, Babar et Céleste sont partis sac au dos se mettre à l'abri. Ayant trouvé un coin tranquille, ils ont vite enlevé leurs habits mouillés. Céleste les fait sécher sur une corde. Babar allume un bon feu et prépare le déjeuner.” Leaving the damaged ball on the beach, Babar and Celeste set off with backpacks to take shelter. Having found a quiet spot, they quickly took off their wet clothes. Celeste is drying them on a clothesline. Babar lights a good fire and prepares lunch.
Red metal framed and under glass. Lovely colors and illustration. Great addition to your vintage illustration collection.
