The ornate design features a slanted drop-down panel that conceals an interior compartment with small drawers, situated above three large front drawers. Crafted from fine woods and richly veneered with burl, it is embellished with majestic floral inlays and raceme motifs in light-colored woods. The structure is solid and the flap functions perfectly; the piece is preserved in excellent period condition with a splendid patina and slight signs of aging.
