The curved frame of the mirror and the bent cross brace between the legs introduce flowing lines against the otherwise strictly rectangular frame. Design context: a reduced construction principle is evident: the supporting profile and surface remain clearly visible, the glass top rests openly in the frame, and the mirror is mounted without a concealing back panel. The open, linear structure occupies little visual volume and thus stands alongside solid, historical cabinet furniture without competing with it for surface area. The patinated metal surface* picks up on the aged wood and hardware tones of the surroundings; the transparency of the glass and mirror allows wall details and the surfaces behind them to be seen. Features: round mirror swivels in a curved frame; curved cross brace between the four legs; continuous square tubing. Design: the frame is constructed from continuous square tubing. The transitions at the corners are visibly finished. The mirror frame carries the line of the side supports upwards in a concave curve, seamlessly completing the circle of the mirror. The contrast arises between the closedness of the circular form and the openness of the linear base; the glass panel and mirror surface introduce two transparent and reflective planes, respectively, into the otherwise purely linear construction.
