An original se 119 dining chair designed by the renowned german architect and designer egon eiermann and manufactured by wilde + spieth in germany during the 1960s. The se 119 is one of the most celebrated dining chair designs of post-war german modernism. Characterized by its refined proportions, sculptural molded plywood backrest and elegantly tapered solid birch frame, the design perfectly reflects eiermann's philosophy of functional simplicity, architectural precision and timeless aesthetics.
this model is documented in the original wilde + spieth catalogues and forms part of the official egon eiermann archive, making it one of the most recognizable and collectible german modernist seating designs of the twentieth century.
this example retains its original blue fabric upholstery, an increasingly desirable feature for collectors and design enthusiasts seeking authentic vintage furniture. The fabric has aged beautifully and complements the warm natural tones of the birch frame while preserving the chair's original character. The solid birch frame displays a rich honey-colored patina acquired through decades of careful use. The chair remains structurally sound, stable and comfortable for everyday dining while retaining the honest character expected from an original vintage example. A unique advantage of this offering is its exceptional availability. More than 100 original matching chairs are currently in stock, making this an outstanding opportunity for architects, interior designers, hospitality projects, restaurants, educational institutions and corporate environments requiring large quantities of authentic period seating. this piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
