This vintage wall & desk light was designed by kaare klint for le klint in denmark. First produced in the 1940s this example was manufactured in the early 1950s. The light features a brass base with brown bakelite handle and cotton satin pleated off white colored lampshade. The shade can be turned in different positions. The light is adjustable and can be used as a wall lamp as well as a desk lamp. Total height with lampshade is 17.5" (44.5 cm), width 6.3" (16 cm), depth 9.1" (23 cm). Height without shade is 12.2" (31 cm). Size of lampshade is height 8.7 (22 cm), diameter at bottom is 6.3 (16 cm). The switch is on the cord. The light has been rewired with new fabric cord. It requires one e26/e27 bulb and comes with a continental european 2-pin plug and adapter for use in us. All lighting is converted for us usage. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
