A beautiful first edition example of one of artemide’s most refined and sculptural lighting designs from the late 1960s. With its generous proportions and soft futuristic silhouette, the dania lamp has a strong visual presence while remaining extremely elegant and minimal. The lamp is made in white enameled aluminum, with a glossy rounded upper shade and a flowing curved body that opens like a wave beneath it. The design is both architectural and organic: the dome-shaped top seems to float above the base, while the body curves inward and outward in a continuous movement, creating a sculptural profile from every angle. When lit, the lamp produces a warm and atmospheric glow. The light reflects beautifully on the glossy white enameled surface, illuminating the inner curve and creating a soft amber tone beneath the shade. The contrast between the clean white exterior and the warm internal light gives the piece a very refined presence, both as a functional table lamp and as a sculptural object. The side views reveal the elegance of the construction: the upper dome extends forward like a visor, while the base rises vertically and then opens into a dramatic concave curve. From the front, the lamp has a strong symmetrical presence; from the side, it becomes almost aerodynamic, with a design language that perfectly captures the experimental spirit of italian lighting from the 1960s. This example is preserved in truly excellent vintage condition. According to its history, it remained unused for many years, stored away in a cabinet, which explains the remarkably fresh state of preservation. The white enamel is still bright and glossy, with only minimal signs of age visible upon close inspection. The original cord and switch are also present, as shown in the photos, with the natural light patina expected from the period. A rare opportunity to acquire a first edition dania lamp in unusually well-preserved condition. Elegant, sculptural and increasingly difficult to find, it is a perfect piece for collectors of artemide, italian space-age design and important 1960s lighting. The fixture is preserved in outstanding original condition. As with all vintage lighting, we recommend professional inspection and rewiring if required for safe operation and compliance with contemporary local electrical standards. For u.s. Clients: we always provide an adapter for immediate use in the united states. The lamp can operate with the original european wiring; however, due to the lower u.s. Voltage, the light output will be softer and more atmospheric. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
