The animal is depicted in dynamic motion, with its body tilted, its neck extended, and its wings raised, as if in flight or landing. The drawn-back legs and elongated tail contribute to the figure’s sense of momentum and lightness. The rendering of the subject is decorative and almost sculptural, much richer than traditional flat weathervanes. The lower part retains the compass rose with the cardinal letters n, e, s, and w, while the copper displays a natural antique patina, with burnished tones and light oxidation that confirms its vintage charm. An ideal object for collectors of weathervanes, rural antiques and architectural decoration. Dimensions: 45 x 45 x 57 cm. See less
