A rare and impressively sculptural Brutalist wall lamp, a vintage Italian design piece dating back to the 1970s. This artistic sconce is produced by Biancardi and Jordan Arte in Verona in the Brutalist style for the renowned Poliarte factory (Poliarte Verona, founded by Albano Poli). It is composed of vertical geometric elements in split pressed glass, mounted on a wooden frame with a metal wall mount. Fully rooted in the mid-century Brutalist movement, the piece plays on the repetition of jagged geometric modules reminiscent of a wave or sound frequency, designed to cast evocative plays of light and shadow on the walls when illuminated. This type of artistic lighting is now highly sought after by collectors in modern art circles and international design galleries.
