Pair of John Wisner Far Horizons ottomans – Ficks Reed, 1954. Emblematic of modernist design from 1954, these ottomans feature a bamboo and stained rattan frame, enhanced with exposed bindings and brass finials, hallmarks of the "country/tropical modern" style developed by Ficks Reed in the mid-20th century.
The lines are both robust and refined, designed for indoor use as well as for a conservatory or vacation home.
The generous proportions offer excellent comfort, further enhanced by cushions upholstered in a simple beige fabric, perfectly suited to the overall aesthetic. The rattan bindings and frames are well preserved. Dimensions: Ottoman: 39 x 66 x 66 cm. This piece has an attribution mark,
