Attention mid-century design and art ceramics enthusiasts! I am offering this magnificent and very rare complete 5-piece ceramic centerpiece set, created by Gabrielle Mackiewicz (Art et Feu studio).
This 1950s set perfectly illustrates her taste for sculptural, organic forms. The stylized brown decoration is etched with oxide on a very light blue/grayish-white glaze, characteristic of her work with clay and glaze.
1 Large anthropomorphic centerpiece/sculpture.
2 Candlesticks/Candle holders with slender, graphic lines. Height 19 cm.
2 Matching cylindrical vases/tumblers. Height 13 cm.
In good overall vintage condition. The set shows normal signs of wear consistent with age and use, as well as small chips (visible in the photos), which is quite typical for ceramics of this period and testifies to their authenticity. No major cracks.
Finding a complete 5-piece set by this artist is an exceptional opportunity. A true collector's item, ideal for dressing up a teak sideboard or dining table in a modernist, vintage, or brutalist interior. This piece has an attribution mark,
