the lower rim features the hand-engraved signature "b. Raftopoulou". This style, medium, and subject are highly consistent with the mid-century mythological bronze productions of the prominent greek modernist sculptress bella raftopoulou (1902–1992), whose artworks are cataloged in major european institutions and the national gallery of athens.
